About Ericsson Labs
Ericsson Labs is a concept for open innovation. The site holds APIs, resources, offerings, and various expert commentaries, produced by Ericsson. This assortment provides technologies and communities for developers and makes it easy to get in touch with a variety of experts from different fields.
Currently 22 API sets are published in the fields of communication, maps & positioning, machine learning, media, NFC & sensors, security, user & network information and web technologies.
The Over The Air Challenge
As part of the Ericsson Labs Application Awards, a challenge is opened up for over-night hackathon at Over The Air. The theme of the competition is “Connected Things: Social, Fun & Sustainable”. Develop an innovative application using one or several APIs from Ericsson Labs. The winner will receive a Sony Ericsson Android X10 Mini Pro device.
